Downtown Pyramids

A very surprising aspect of visiting the pyramids at Giza-
We always imagined that they were "way out in the desert"

but Cairo's been around so long that it has expanded
until it completely surrounds these wonders.

Our hotel was right across the street !

I got to celebrate my 13th birthday in Cairo - entertained by a Belly Dancer and a Whirling Dirvish - I'll have to see if Unky Duck has any photos of my special party. Check back later!
